I am a Research Professor with research interests that include science education and communication, ecosystem ecology, and riparian and wetland ecology. I share an appointment in the Communication and Biology departments at bet36365体育, where I mentor student projects focused on translating scientific research to public audiences. Our work incorporates time-lapse and aerial photography, geographical information systems (GIS), data visualizations, and various forms of multimedia presentations.
Whether as a major or for select courses to complement another degree program, Communication at bet36365体育 provides students with opportunities to learn how to convey information in ways that are understandable and accessible to diverse audiences. No matter what career path a student takes, having skills to communicate effectively will serve them throughout their lives.
