Teaching Interests and Approach

Dr. Dutta holds a love for teaching and takes genuine joy in seeing students learn. His teaching philosophy centers on practice of the basics and reinforcement of critical thought at every step of the educational process, and is born out of his experience researching nanotechnology with advanced microscopes and out of his professional work back home. Since his undergraduate studies, teaching has become an integral part of Dutta’s life through self-teaching and tutoring of classmates in engineering courses and tutoring high school students in math, 物理, and engineering. This resulted in Dutta being known for his ability to break down complex subjects quite simply. 自2000年以来, he has gained experience through teaching, working as volunteer, one-on-one tutoring, functioning as a teaching assistant and a researcher, and by working an assistant professor both within the United States and internationally. It is his pleasure to teach and mentor students in engineering programs.
